Our Japanese Diatom Coatings Can Be Cleaned with Water
①Regular Maintenance
Dust can be removed with a duster or vacuum. Wipe with a dry cloth or well-wrung damp cloth. Do not wash dust with water.②Handprint Stains
The best method is to remove with an eraser (standard stationery). Avoid using water when possible. You can also use a magic sponge dampened with water to gently wipe the surface. Do not press too hard or the surface may change slightly. The sponge may shed particles when wiping—remove with a towel.③Large-area Stains
• Wet a soft sponge with kitchen detergent and gently wipe the surface.• If it doesn't come off, apply slightly more pressure. Avoid excessive force or the coating may change.
• Use a clean sponge and towel (wetted and wrung with clean or warm water) to wipe—do not leave detergent on the wall.
• Allow to dry thoroughly after cleaning.
④Coffee, Soy Sauce, etc.
For plant-based pigment stains (coffee, soy sauce), use household bleach (kitchen grade). Ensure good ventilation. Wipe with diluted bleach on a towel, dry with a hairdryer, then remove bleach with a damp towel.Test on an inconspicuous area first to check for color change before proceeding.
⑤Notes
Dust and stains become harder to remove over time—clean as soon as possible.Always test before cleaning or repairing to confirm no adverse effects.
